New President for the Sheep Veterinary Society

Kath Dun was elected as the new President of the Sheep Veterinary Society at their autumn conference held in Newquay, Cornwall at the end of September. She takes over from Tim Bebbington who becomes Senior Vice-President and is joined on the Committee by new Junior Vice-President Iain Richards.

The Sheep Veterinary Society brings together vets, advisers and flock owners from all over the United Kingdom, Europe and the wider world who are interested primarily in the welfare of sheep. Sheep are farmed throughout the world and their health and welfare depends on the care and expertise of the people who tend to them. The Society is a forum for education and discussion of sheep health and welfare. It also builds strong links with sheep farmers through the National Sheep Association. In May 2017, the Society is honoured to be hosting the International Sheep Veterinary Congress in Harrrogate, North Yorkshire. This congress which is held every 4 years will be followed by a Society conference in the Scottish Borders in September.

Our Aim
