Following a recent conference dedicated to the topic of sheep welfare,the Sheep Veterinary Society have released a policy statement detailing their views. The Society are calling for control and eradication of sheep scab, increased opportunities for training farmers and shepherds and regular veterinary visits to flocks, to aid the industry in the improvement of the welfare status of sheep in the UK.
